Manny is now going to continue Being Manny for the Dodgers. I really don't have anything to say about this. I'm just sad. Nothing against Jason Bay, but I think the deal stinks.Thanks Manny. And if it's one thing worse than feeling sad about a loss like this, it's being ridiculed for those feelings.
So I stopped by (late, but still heartfelt) to commisserate.
No joke! Manny's been a joy to watch for years, and no matter what the circumstances, I'll mourn the end of the Manny era. Poo on those who mock. Heartless bastards! And I'll wish him nothing but the best everywhere he goes. (Unless it's ever the Yanks. Then I wish him nothing but the mediocre...)
I've actually had a number of friends call to express their condolences, which I thought was awfully sweet. (A Pirates fan, a Yanks fan, a Mets fan and a Cubs fan, in case you were curious.)
